BWA is one of the most reputable brands of RIBs in Europe and its long experience has led it to create a range with different series, well adapted to the demands of the market with a design that is not extreme, discreet, elegant, without futuristic forms, and with a very rational distribution. The Premium series is the best presentation of the brand with a hull design with an accentuated V at the bow and large diameter floats. This BWA Sport 26 GT boat is the sister of the BWA Sport 28 GT which differs in length and beam, a difficult choice for yacht charter in Menorca.
The Suzuki DF 200 hp engine, possibly the best of Suzuki in terms of power/performance/consumption ratio, allows to sail with a minimum fuel consumption. Like her big sister the BWA Sport 28 GT has a sporty yet classy design, it is a very nice boat. The power of 200 hp allows to sail fast, and at the same time with a very reduced consumption extraordinary behavior.
In addition to running, it behaves phenomenally, both in tight turns and at half throttle on the waves. The bow is sharp, smooth and avoids lurching.
Outstanding engines in a hull that has everything demonstrated in similar lengths of the same brand. A set that combines technology, comfort and elegance, with high-level seaworthiness in a quality product, with a high level of versatility of use, with good finishes.
The BWA 26 GT comes with a large bimini top and a large bow sundeck. There are many little things that make up this RIB, whose charm lies, among others, in the discreet elegance of its lines. The stern area can also be converted into a second sundeck by adjusting the height of the table.
At the stern, with double bathing platform, shower and ladder; the cockpit area, with a U-shaped wraparound sofa, around a table that can be adjusted in height to form a spacious sundeck behind, complemented by a piece of furniture in the central area with the steering position and the bow with the main sundeck.
It is remarkable the stowage capacity at bow and stern, large lockers, with a very balanced distribution, used, made to navigate comfortably on board.
The steering position is comfortable, safe and offers good protection and ergonomics. At the steering wheel we are comfortable, either standing or leaning on the bench with footrest and a control panel with all the indicators.
In terms of safety, a system designed by Menorcamar has been installed on the boat, which is in the patent process and integrates electronic components such as a SIMRAD GO 7 chart plotter, a Tablet with communications, a set of integrated sensors that generate alerts with relevant information and a system of continuous communications of these alerts to the boat itself and to the office.
It uses the Navionics chart with bathymetry, points of interest including coves, rocks and also restaurants with the phones to be able to book from the boat while sailing. The application allows you to select a destination and choose the best safe route giving approximate time of arrival, with the GPS of the boat takes you day and night of special value when we lose the visual references.
With the integration of the components and communications systems, alerts are generated that arrive at the same time to the boat and to the office for blows, speed, lack of battery, water in the bilge, being anchored in protected areas… The security system allows access to the weather forecast, to know the route of nearby vessels, access to the instructions of the operation of the components of the boat. The ship has a VHF radio to use the radio procedures established by IMO and additionally a communication with the office is available. When an unforeseen situation arises that we do not know how to solve, we contact the office where almost all calls for help are resolved from the office.
