If you have come this far, it is because you are thinking of doing a Charter in Minorca. B.W.A. is one of the most accredited semi-rigid brands in Europe and its long experience has led it to create a range with different series, well adapted to the demands of the market with a design that is not extreme, discreet, elegant, without futuristic forms, and with a very rational layout. The Premium series is the best presentation of the brand with a hull design with an accentuated V in the bow and large diameter floats. This BWA Sport 26 GT boat is the sister of the BWA Sport 28 GT that differs in length and beam, a difficult choice for boat rentals in Menorca.
The Suzuki DF 200 hp engine., possibly the best of Suzuki in terms of the power / performance / consumption ratio, allow you to navigate with minimal fuel consumption. Like its older sister, the BWA Sport 28 GT has a sporty yet classy design, it is a very nice boat. The power of 200 hp allows you to navigate quickly, and at the same time with a very low consumption, extraordinary behavior.
In addition to racing, it behaves phenomenally, both in tight turns and at half throttle on the waves. The bow is sharp, it is smooth and prevents panting.
Outstanding engines in a hull that has it all demonstrated in similar lengths of the same brand. A set that combines technology, comfort and elegance, with high-level navigability in a quality product, with a high level of versatility of use, with good finishes.
The BWA 26 GT comes with a large bimini top and a large bow sundeck. There are many little things that make up this semi-rigid, whose charm lies, among others, in the discreet elegance of its lines. The aft area can also be converted into a second sundeck by adjusting the height of the table.
At the stern, with a double bathing platform, shower and ladder; the cockpit area, with a U-shaped enveloping sofa, around a table that can be adjusted in height to form a spacious sundeck behind, complemented by a piece of furniture in the central area with the steering position and the bow with the sundeck major.
The stowage capacity in the bow and stern, large chests, with a very balanced distribution, used, made to navigate comfortably on board is remarkable.
The steering position is comfortable, safe and offers good protection and ergonomics. At the wheel we are comfortable, both standing and leaning on the bench with footrest and a control panel with all the indicators.
At the level of A system designed by Menorcamar has been installed on the boat , which is in the process of being patented and which integrates electronic components such as a chart plotter. SIMRAD GO 7 , one Tablet with communications, a set of integrated sensors that generate alerts with relevant information and a continuous communication system of these alerts to the ship itself and to the office.
The Navionics chart is used with bathymetry, points of interest that include coves, rocks and also restaurants with telephones to be able to book from the ship while sailing. The application allows you to select a destination and choose the best safe route giving an approximate time of arrival, with the ship’s GPS it takes you day and night, of special value when we lose visual references.
With the integration of the communication components and systems, alerts are generated that reach the ship and the office at the same time due to shocks, speed, lack of battery, water in the bilge, being anchored in protected areas… The security system allows access to the weather forecast , knowing the route of nearby ships, access to the operating instructions of the ship’s components. The ship has a VHF radio to use the radio procedures established by the IMO and additionally there is communication with the office. When an unforeseen situation arises in which it is not known how to solve it, the office is contacted where almost all help calls are resolved from the office. When it is not possible we come to help since we know the position of the ship.
