The ship’s return/pick-up schedule
- 19:00 in July and August
- 18:00 the rest of the months
Boats are returned full of gasoline and without garbage. Check-out is on a first-come, first-served basis and as long as there is daylight.
The price of the website includes the boat rental for the whole day.
All our boats are equipped with awning.
In addition, it should be noted that a deposit must be deposited at the office at the time of pick-up. Gasoline is not included. The boat will be received fully refueled, and must be returned in the same way.
The gas station is very close to the pontoon where the boat is picked up and returned.
If you do not refuel, you will have to pay an extra refueling service fee in addition to the price of gasoline. For this we would block your deposit until we have refueled the boat in order to charge both amounts together.
Extras:
For boats that must be driven with a license, you can book with skipper, for a price of 225€.
To request the transfer of a boat, it is necessary to have your own or a rented buoy at the destination. It can be requested either for starting or pick-up. The amount for each trip will consist of the price of gasoline, plus an amount for the transfer that will depend on the distance.
The refueling servicewould also be an extra, in addition to the price of gasoline.
Finally, we would also have at your disposal to book equipment: snorkeling (for 10€ each). Wakeboard, kneeboard, paddleboard and water skis (for 50€ each). Scubajet 100€.
Children’s vests are available free of charge, but a deposit is required for them.
Yes, the bond block is mandatory.
The Deposit is made in the office before leaving to sail: a deposit is always established before departure for possible expenses related to possible damages, the amounts are 500 € for boats up to 5 meters, 1,500 € for boats of 6 m, 2,000 for those listed as 8 m and 2,800 for boats listed as > 8 m.
For the trips with skipper a deposit of 1400 is obligatorily blocked in case the client does not want to refuel or for possible damages caused by the client that are not the responsibility of the skipper.
If the gas station is closed before 18:00 due to a holiday or schedule, the refueling will be done by Menorca Mar, charging only the amount of gasoline consumed. On these days a deposit of 300 € will be added, for the collection of the consumed gasoline.
The deposit is returned when the boat has been able to check out with daylight. In the case of having to dispose of the deposit for the cost of gasoline not refueled or for having to make a repair, the amount that exceeds the deposit on the fuel bill and / or repair estimate is returned.
At the moment of the return of the deposit by Menorca Mar, it is the bank issuing the card that establishes the dates of return to its clients, varying from bank to bank. As a practical example Sabadell does it immediately and La Caixa takes up to 3 weeks.
It is recommended to make the deposit by credit card instead of debit card.
The most common bond offsets for additional services:
- For not returning the boat with full fuel, the refueling service has a cost of 100 € in addition to the cost of the fuel not refueled.
- For damaging the propeller of the engine. If they are made of iron, the amount is 800 euros and for engines of 150 hp and upwards the amount is 1,500 euros per propeller as they are made of stainless steel.
- Extra cleaning service, 50 €, for stains related to the use of shoes, creams, food/drink products, as well as for not having thrown out the garbage and finding remains of ashes, cigarette butts and others.

Promotion does not apply to extras
We rent only for a full day. There are no reduced rates for half days or hours.
Of course you will! You’ll love La Peque our boat to sail without a license. A first approach to the sea to spend a day sailing yourself without a skipper. You can go up to 5 people. When you arrive at the office we will explain you how the sea is that day, we will recommend you places to go and coves to visit.
They are limited in the area where they can move: you can go north (to the island of Colom) or south (to Punta Prima).

You will also have a little sheet with basic concepts that you can read and ask us questions, and then we will accompany you to the boat to explain how to handle it and help you to set it up.
They are a great way to see the coves in a different way, and a very useful first approach if you later want to get your sailing license (question 7).
The confirmation email will be sent to the email address you entered in the form at the time of booking.
If it does not arrive, check that it is not in the SPAM folder or that you have entered your e-mail address correctly.
In the email you will receive a reservation number and a link to access your reservation information, and where you can upload the necessary documents to check-in.
Be careful if you put capital letters in the email address at the time of booking. Our system is case sensitive and will not let you login if you do not enter the same letters used at the time of booking.
Before the pick up you can take certain things into account that will facilitate and speed up the check in process so that you receive your rental boat sooner.
First of all, as soon as you receive the confirmation email with your reservation number, you can access to the space My Reservation with the email you have used as a reference and your reservation number. You can upload your ID card and license (in case you have one) and sign the contract, so that the day of the pick-up, the only thing left to do is to process the deposit.
(In case you have booked a skippered boat, you will only be able to bring up your ID card and everything else will have to wait at the office).
Secondly, as for the food. You do not need to prepare it in advance. Our pick-up office has a Basque-style Txoko. Here you can buy ice, drinks (soft drinks, water, wine, beer, etc.), food (omelette, sausage, cheese, canned food, bread, etc.) and other snacks (potatoes, pastries, olives, etc.). In addition to having the self-service kitchen to prepare your food, whether it is purchased in the Txoko or not. We encourage you to use this space. You can feel at home with the only requirement to leave everything picked up as you found it.
On the day of departure by boat, you must check-in at our office.
- If you have not yet uploaded the documents (ID card and license) and signed the contract on the page of My Reservation you will have to do it.
- The deposit will be blocked.
- The weather and sea conditions for the day will be checked.
- You will go to the boat to perform the inspection and check the condition of the boat before departure, filling out and signing the following papers before you can leave with the boat. If you do not sign the papers it is understood as positive silence, that is to say that you accept the check we have made of the conditions of the boat.

You can find the boat’s documentation on the page of My Booking page by logging in with your email address and reservation number. There you will find:
- Certificate of navigability
- Spanish maritime registry of the vessel
- Presentation of the responsible declaration
that you will be able to see and show to the police in case they stop you and ask for your documents.
We accept cancellations due to health problems related to Covid, in which case we will refund the total amount paid.
If the sea conditions do not allow the departure and bad seas occur, we will contact you ourselves to cancel and refund your money.
In case you have booked through our website: you can contact us by e-mail(reservas@barcosenmenorca.com) or by phone (689 44 11 55).
If the reservation was made through an intermediary site: the cancellation must also be processed through the intermediary site. You should therefore contact their support service.
We have a training ship (the Lunamar) with which we are obtaining the Basic Navigation License, the titulín.
The price would be the boat rental for the day in question, plus the extra of going with skipper (who will teach you the maneuvers you need to know and will guide you in your practices, plus you can stop to swim and visit coves with him, to enjoy the best of sailing and travel with skipper).
You must inform by mail or telephone that the objective is to obtain the degree.
The administrative procedures would add 100€ more per person (now we are giving away the second one!) and we would need you to send us a psycho-technical test, like the one for the driver’s license.
The payment of the amount of the boat as well as the deposit must be paid by credit card. The deposit will only be a block on the card instead of a charge, which will only be effective in the cases contemplated in the following question.
It would only be possible to pay in cash for the extras to be paid at the office upon pick-up: the skipper, the additional equipment (from question 3), what was consumed at the Txoko, etc.
The deposit would only be a blockage at departure, which would be returned if the boat is returned in the same conditions once the check out is done, that same afternoon or until the following day.
In case the boat is damaged, the amount of the repair will be retained from the deposit. The same applies if the boat returns without refueling, in which case the amount of the gasoline will be retained, as well as the extra for the refueling service.
Finally, in case we get a fine for the day of your reservation you will also be retained from there (if, for example, you exceed the speed limits in port).
Spending the night on the boat is only possible if you have a buoy or mooring, either owned or rented. It is not allowed to spend the night with the boat simply anchored with the anchor, whether the skipper is inside or not.
